Hornbeck High School

HHS Mission Statement/Philosophy

The primary goal of public education is to offer quality educational opportunities to all children, preparing them for successful lives in society.  Hornbeck High School faculty and staff accept this goal as a responsibility and a challenge.

We believe a collaborative alliance of the professional staff, student body, parents, and community should exist for purposes of planning and implementing the total educational process.   This effort should always include an awareness of the dignity and worth of the individual and his or her place in society.  Consequently, the school should offer a comprehensive curriculum designed to meet the needs and goals of each student.  Individuals planning to continue formal education as well as those choosing to enter the work force deserve to be equipped with the knowledge, skill and insight needed to accept the responsibilities and challenges of life.
